Founding Team

Steven Harrison President & CEO

Steven has over 25 years in financial and operations management experience. Steven has consulted and been involved with various early stage businesses from software technology, medical devices to consumer products.

In 1999 he co-founded IntellectMarket, a software company that was sold to CollabNet in 2001. Steven became Chief Financial Officer of TriVascular, Inc. in 2001 to work on their financing and ensure a path to selling the business. The company was sold to Boston Scientific in April 2005. Steven was a founding team member and investor in Think Tank Photo, Inc. a designer and distributor of carrying solutions (bags) for professional photographers, now available in 58 countries. In 2008 he helped restart TriVascular after its closure by Boston Scientific and saw it through to the receipt of its US PMA. He is Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.


Lorin Kobashigawa CTO & Founding Team Member

Lorin began his career at Organic Online building early ecommerce offerings for major brands like Home Depot, Starbucks and Nortel. In 2000 he co-founding his own web development consulting company, Robot6, to support many clients in the heady days of the dotcom boom. Following the dotcom crash, he became a lead architect for the online banking team at Washington Mutual, developing one of the highest regarded online banking applications in the industry. After the acquisition by J.P. Morgan Chase, Lorin lead the mobile development team for the J.P. Morgan Private Bank.

Orion Harbour User Experience & Founding Team Member

Orion has worked as a UX designer since 1998. He has experience in information architecture, concept development, interaction design, visual design as well as front-end development. Orion has also done work in brand development, print design and publication design. Within the technology industry Orion has worked with such brands as Microsoft, Yahoo, HP, Ebay, Livescribe, and Logitech. Orion has also worked in the actions sports industry with Nike, Burton Snowboards, Forum Snowboards and Skull Candy. Orion has helped roll out enterprise level websites and web applications and has also helped brick and mortar businesses develop ecommerce solutions with products like Big Commerce and Shopify.

Denny Van Ness Chairman

Mr. Van Ness of Hidden Hill Advisors was the first full-time VC at Hambrecht & Quist, where he helped build its venture capital group over a nine year period. He then co-founded and built Olympic Venture Partners over the next ten years. Denny holds directorships at several private companies. Denny has 12 years of active angel investing experience with the North Bay Angels, including 10 as a Director. He holds an MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business.

Aman Bhutani

President, Brand Expedia Group

Aman Bhutani is the President for Brand Expedia Group and is responsible for the overall strategy and operations of the brand globally, with a focus on driving innovation and positioning Expedia for further global growth. In addition to managing the various brands associated with Expedia.com, including Travelocity, Wotif, and Expedia's joint venture with AirAsia, Bhutani will support product development, technology and media for all of the groups across the company. Prior to being named President, he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for Brand Expedia worldwide.

Bhutani joined Expedia, Inc. in 2010. During his tenure as CTO of Brand Expedia, he was responsible for managing the Travelocity business and integrating acquisitions within Brand Expedia. He joined Expedia after many years in the financial services industry, consulting and as an entrepreneur.

Bhutani holds an MBA from Lancaster University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Delhi University.

Jerry Jolly

Jerry R. Jolly served as Director of the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) and Interim Director of Office of Real Estate Appraisers. Jolly was appointed Director of ABC by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in 2004. During his tenure he was responsible for increasing level of compliance of ABC laws by developing extensive statewide prevention and enforcement programs. Jolly has over 31 years of experience in public service with knowledge in every aspect of ABC law including licensing, trade practice and fiscal management of statewide programs. On several occasions he has testified before the California State Legislature on issues related to California tied-house laws and related matters.

Jolly is now a consultant in the beer, wine and spirits practice. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University, Long Beach and is a graduate of Session 192, FBI Academy, United States Department of Justice.

Nick Goldschmidt

Winemaker & International Wine Consultant at Goldschmidt Vineyards

Born and educated in New Zealand, Nick Goldschmidt's career began in 1982 with a research position at the New Zealand Lincoln University where he graduated with Distinction in Horticulture. In 1990, Nick settled down in Healdsburg, California, as Simi's Associate Winemaker. Nick was promoted to Chief Winemaker 1991 and became Vice President and Chief Winemaker in 1996. In May of 2003 Nick accepted the position of Executive Vice President and Winemaker at Allied Domecq Wines USA. During a number of acquisitions Nick became Vice President and Executive Domestic Winemaker for Beam Estates wine portfolio. As winemaker for Beam estates, Nick oversees the production of Clos Du Bois, Buena Vista, Haywood, Garcia, Atlas Peak, William Hill, Gary Farrell and Jakes Fault.

In the global arena his work takes him to Mexico, Spain, Argentina and New Zealand where he is involved with blends being imported into the domestic market as well as several domestic brands that are being exported into other global markets.

Truman Reynolds

Vice President at Adams Wine Group

Truman has over 35 years of experience in business development involving financial analysis, information technology, telecommunications, operations, logistics and customer service. He offers experience combined with formal training and education providing the ability to invoke a "business first" approach to solving business challenges.

After managing information technology for Mitchel Energy and Development in Houston, Texas, Truman joined Computer Associates in 1973 to direct the installation and support activity for the western region of the United States including all the states west of the Mississippi river. In 1979 Truman founded Interact, Inc. in Dallas, Texas and was certified as an authorized remarketer of IBM 3X and mainframe computers. In 1989 Interact started developing human resources as well as middleware technology specializing in voice and data integration. The company was comprised of content specialist and technologist dedicated to building, improving and consolidating inbound customer service centers. These long term projects occurred in North and South America and in many cases were a part of engagements with IBM, Accenture, EDS, The Brady Group, Vanguard Communications, manufactures and publishers of voice and data technology. In 1999 Truman sold the business to the employees and relocated to Sonoma County California where he was involved in managing various winery projects that included financial analysis, information technology, telecommunications, tasting room operations, wine club management, warehousing, shipping logistics and customer relationship management. In 2005 Truman was instrumental in forming a division within The Adams Wine Group (Vynapse LLC; dba Pack n' Ship Direct), which is a full service, end-to-end fulfillment company focused on direct-to-consumer wine sales and logistics. Truman continued as a Vice President of the Adams Wine Group and is General Manager of Vynapse LLC.

Jay M. Behmke

Jay Behmke is President of International Fruit Genetics, an intellectual property licensing company that creates new varieties of table grapes and cherries and licenses these varieties to growers worldwide. He also serves as managing director of Yao Family Wines, the Napa Valley winery founded by the Chinese basketball star Yao Ming.

Mr. Behmke has been involved in the California wine industry since 1988. He served as chief financial officer of Belvedere Winery, a Russian River winery, from 1988 to 1992. He provided legal services to domestic and international clients in his own law firm from 1993 to 2002, and was a partner in the Santa Rosa law firm of Carle, Mackie, Power & Ross from 2002 to 2014. His expertise includes federal and state alcoholic beverage regulation, real property, new business formation, mergers and acquisitions, and trademarks. Mr. Behmke earned his BA from Princeton University and his law degree from the Yale Law School.
